Sixteen Candles is one of John Hughes' excellent teen movies that were such a mark on the eighties. Like the Breakfast Club and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I really like them, they have spunk and are really funny. Never mind if you are not a teen or was not even in the eighties. These films almost makes it seem like a good era:)

Molly Ringwald was one of the good things about it. I guess Breakfast Club might be her finest hour, but she is good in this film too. I had never heard about this film, and I don't know why, I really liked it. It is funny, and sexy at times, and had a good handle on girls and geeks. (Who knew in 1984 that geeks would take over the world?)
